To have a permament stay in Poland you can get:
Permament residence permit
Long – term EU residence permit
Permament residence permit is for person who have a polish roots, polish wife or husband, who is a victim of human trafficking, who have a refugee status, subsidiary protection, or a residence permit for humanitarian reasons, or who have a temporary residence permit granted in connection with performing work in a profession desirable for the Polish economy (art. 144 act of Foreigners).
Long – term EU residence permit is for everyone who live in Poland. This permit is indefinite. However, the ensuing residence card is valid for 5 years, after which time it may be renewed (replaced with a new one).
To get this residence you need to have among other things:
resided in Poland at least 5 years uninterruptedly
legal, stable and regular income (meaning reasonable certainty and continuity) and sufficient for your and your dependants’ subsistence (higher than the threshold of eligibility for social benefits) – they will check 3 years before you aplly
confirmation that you know polish language : it’s could be:
a state certificate of knowledge of Polish at least at level B1, or
diploma confirm you end a school in Poland.
